A Vintage Weekend

This weekend my mum and I were at the Vintage Nostalgia Show in Wiltshire, sharing a marquee space with a few of our fellow traders from Boscombe Vintage Market. It was a really fun weekend, and just a little bit surreal to see lots of vintage dresses, shoes, hats, fabrics, cars, etc. in the middle of a field in the countryside! Outside the marquee at the Vintage Nostalgia Show, Wiltshire. Vintage market shopping.I forgot my camera, but this is a picture taken on my mum’s small digital camera outside the marquee on Sunday. As it had rained during the week, there was lots of straw on the ground to prevent it getting too muddy. Thankfully it only rained once over the weekend for about 5 minutes, and then the sun came back out again.

And needless to say, I came back with a few things… Detail of vintage Indian dress and pink 1930s dress. Indian beading. Pink, green. Detail of skirt of a pink 1930s vintage dress. Bead and sequin detail from a vintage Indian dress. Handmade vintage cushions. Pink, green, gold. Vintage braid and trimmings. Vintage haberdashery.Well, how could I resist?
