The Bluebell Woods

Half an hours walk from where I live, there is a little wood known as the Bluebell Woods. And, at this time of year, it’s a tiny bit magical.Bluebells close-up, the Bluebell Woods, Pamphill, Dorset, UKEvery April and May the ground blossoms into a sea of green and purple, flecked with the odd burst of pink and white. 1. I don’t know if you noticed the difference but the wild bluebells and the ones in your garden are not the same. The garden ones are Spanish bluebells which are a different species.

    • I hadn’t noticed until a few years ago, when my mum pointed it out. But once you know, you can really spot the differences – especially the shape!

Lovely photos, thanks for sharing 🙂

The bluebells are out in full force around my house too.

    • They really are… I know I would miss them too if I moved away, they just feel like an integral part of spring. But I hope there are beautiful flowers blossoming where you are that can make up for no bluebells!
